3d video game limited to 720p

 

It was at the Develop Conference, Simon Benson, a representative from Sony announced that PS3 games that support 3D terrain are inevitably limited to a maximum resolution of 720p. However, it states that the device is quite capable of managing the relief effect in 1080p thanks to Blu-ray, but it always leads to a drop in frame rate. A movie that runs at 24 frames per second can thus benefit from 1080p, so inevitably pollute a game experience by being forced to move 60 frames per second at a frame rate much lower.
